KYC Compliance Assistant

As we continue expanding in 2024 with new products and services, we’re growing our compliance and operational teams. We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented KYC Compliance Assistant to join us. In this role, you will help ensure our processes meet Know Your Customer (KYC) standards, assist with customer verification, and support the compliance team with due diligence tasks. Responsibilities

• Help the back office by following up on Know-Your-Client (KYC) documents
• Check for any sanctions and analyze the transaction history
• Look for adverse media and screen for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)
• Prepare files for reporting purposes
• Assist with opening new accounts.
• Learn how to use the CRM system well
• Quickly respond to questions from other departments and help solve their issues
• Perform basic calculations related to different trading products
• Keep an eye on complex onboarding cases and follow up as needed
• Prepare and send weekly and monthly reports to the management on time
• Talk to the Head of the Department if any issues or concerns come up

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree or an apprenticeship in Finance / Business / Accounting / Marketing / IT / Law or a similar field, or equivalent experience in customer service, crypto, or financial services. If you don’t have a degree, over 5 years of related experience will work instead
• Strong problem-solving skills with common-sense analysis
• Excellent numerate and analytical skills
• Good communication skills and logical thinking, with the ability to quickly understand problems and suggest solutions
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Proficient level of English
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Metabase or similar data analysis tools
• Previous experience in the crypto or financial services industry
• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
• Knowledge of French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Portuguese will be considered an advantage
• Experience with Confluence/Jira is a plus
• Familiarity with Sumsub or other KYC software, as well as experience with Elliptic or other blockchain analysis tools
